Tom was born at Camp LeJeune on July 24, 1975 and grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, graduating from Frankford High School and attending York College for a period of time. Joining the U.S. Army in 1996, Tom began his military career serving in the prestigious Old Guard at Arlington National Cemetery. He later transitioned into military intelligence where he became a highly decorated linguist and interrogator. He served numerous deployments.

After many years serving his country, Tom retired from the military in 2017. All who knew Tom (aka Sully) know the humor and intelligence that he possessed. These qualities and many others made him one of a kind. He was greatly loved and will be missed by many.

(Personal Bio) – I joined the Army in 1996 as an Infantryman. My first duty location was with the 3rd US INF Regiment (TOG) where I served as a Full Honor Casket team member. I served there approximately 3 years until I reenlisted and changed my MOS to Human Intelligence Collector/Interrogator. After completing my training, I was assigned to the 519th Military Intelligence Battalion at Fort Bragg, NC. While at the 519th, I deployed to both Kosovo and Afghanistan (Operation Enduring Freedom). I served with the 519th for approximately 3 years. After my time there, I transferred to 10th Special Forces Group at Fort Carson, Colorado. I served there as the 10th SFG Senior Interrogator. While at the 10th GRP, I deployed multiple times to Operation Iraqi Freedom. After approximately 7 years at 10th GRP, I was transferred to JSOC where I served as a Senior Enlisted Advisor for the Joint Intelligence Brigade. After approximately 2 years I transferred to the Special Activities Battalion of 1st Special Warfare Group where I served as an Instructor. I worked at this assignment until my retirement in 2016. I’m married with four children, 3 girls and 1 boy. My wife currently works as an elementary school principal. I enjoy golf, working in the community and coaching my children’s sports teams.
